FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How will an art project help to inspire peace and gun safety?

Art movements work. The impact of a unified nationwide art project with a unified message is a powerful way for all of us to be seen and heard. We have already seen how our visual storytelling has drawn the attention of the media. When this happens, we get to share the reason why we are coming together to inspire peace and address the urgent crisis of gun violence. Throughout history, public art has both reflected and instigated change. Collective creative energy is unstoppable when we all join hands!

Is is too late to join the first project?

Absolutely not! Take part in any of the arts initiatives at any time.

Do I need to be an artist to join the movement?

We believe everyone is an artist, so yes! You are an artist and you may join the movement.

What is the significance of the 24th of each month?

Since the Uvalde shooting was the catalyst for the inaugural project, we honor the date when the children and teachers of Uvalde perished.
